In continuation of Sir Andrew

7. Caldecott's confidential despatch of 8th April, 1937, I have the honour to inform

you that the report of the University (1937)

Committee was considered at a meeting of

the Court of the University held on the

21st May, 1937, at which the following resolution was adopted:-

2.

"That the Report of the University

(1937) Committee, appointed by

Government in January, 1937, be

referred to the Council of the

University for its consideration

and for such recommendations as it

may think proper to make."

The Report was subsequently laid on

the table at a meeting of the Legislative

Council held on May 26th, 1937, and was

reproduced in full by the local newspapers.
